EXCLUSIVE: Ariana Grande has opened up about her life in the spotlight and how she has learned to navigate the highs and lows of fame, as well as her relationships being in the public eye
Ariana Grande is undoubtedly the woman of the hour. The pop diva, known for her string of hit albums and chart-topping songs, has also made a name for herself in the film industry with Oscar and BAFTA nominations under her belt.
In an exclusive chat with OK! magazine, it’s clear that Ariana’s extensive career – despite only being 32 – has given her a wealth of experience in navigating the peaks and troughs of global stardom. Few other women can truly understand what it’s like to live life under such intense scrutiny as Ariana.
Her love life has been a hot topic for years, including her relationship with collaborator Mac Miller, who tragically passed away in 2018.
Her high-profile romance with Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson made headlines, and three years later, after that love story ended, she tied the knot with real estate agent Dalton Gomez, only to divorce him later. While filming Wicked, Ariana met Ethan Slater, who plays Glinda’s admirer Boq in the blockbuster film, in a case of life imitating art.

Following a series of additional hit musical projects, she came full circle by returning to her acting roots. Fulfilling a childhood dream, Ariana was emotional upon securing the part of Glinda in Wicked and its sequel, Wicked: For Good, set for release on November 21.
“There is obviously a creative process to both, but in the way you prepare they are entirely different. When you are writing music it is about trying to get your experiences and emotions into a song,” she explains, “When you are trying to get into character it’s about trying to become somebody else, what makes them tick, what’s going on in their head, what are their motives.”
One thing is certain. Ariana’s most Wicked chapter may have come to an end, but Glinda will be right there with her, floating in her magical bubble and waving her wand, wherever Ariana’s journey takes her next.
