A mining company, Ambertone Logistics Company, has started constructing an 8km road in Ebonyi’s Ihietutu Community, Ishiagu, Ivo Local Government Area.
The road project, valued at N3 billion, will connect Ubegbu to the company’s mining site at Onuavia and is expected to ease access to farming areas, enhance development, and improve the transportation of farm produce.

Mr Ebuka Iwuji, a top management staff of the company, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Ishiagu that the project was awarded at the cost of N3 billion to an indigenous firm, FELJESON Nigeria Ltd.

Project Duration: Four months, with completion scheduled for December
Contractor: FELJESON Nigeria Ltd, an indigenous firm owned by a community indigene
Benefits: Improved access to farming areas, enhanced development, and better transportation of farm produce
He said the project, with a four-month completion period, is scheduled for delivery in December.
According to him, the road, which stretches from the Ihietutu town hall at UBEGU to the company’s mining site at Onuavia, will provide access to farming areas among other benefits.
The company sees this project as part of its corporate social responsibility, going beyond its Community Development Agreement obligations. Community members have expressed gratitude, noting the road will significantly improve their lives and facilitate access to markets.
