In a significant move to bolster Africa’s burgeoning tech ecosystem, Techparley Africa, a media and digital literacy company, has announced the launch of ‘DRIVE100’, a media accelerator program designed to provide high-impact publicity to 100 promising African tech startups. The initiative, which was unveiled in Abuja, aims to bridge the visibility gap that often prevents innovative startups from attracting the necessary investment, partnerships, and customers.

According to Ms. Aderonke Ogunleti, the product manager at Techparley Africa, many African startups, despite the increasing investment in the continent’s tech space, struggle to get noticed. Citing a report that African startups raised $1.42 billion across 243 deals in the first half of 2025, she noted that a lack of visibility remains a major hurdle for many ventures.
The ‘DRIVE100’ program is designed to address this challenge head-on by providing free, strategic storytelling for the selected startups. Through curated interviews and editorial profiles, Techparley Africa intends to highlight the unique journeys, challenges, solutions, and impact of these ventures across different markets.
“Through DRIVE100, we want to do more than report,” said Ogunleti. “Our ambition is to push these stories before investors, partners, and customers who can accelerate growth.”

The program is open to tech-enabled startups across the African continent, regardless of their size or sector. Applications for the initiative are open until October 15, 2025. A panel of experts will review the submissions to identify the most innovative and impactful ventures. Techparley Africa has emphasized that the program is completely free, underscoring its belief that “powerful storytelling and meaningful visibility should never be limited by budget.”
Beyond providing publicity, the initiative also aims to inspire a new generation of entrepreneurs, investors, and innovators, thereby contributing to Africa’s economic development. By showcasing the success stories and potential of these startups, Techparley Africa hopes to strengthen entrepreneurship and foster sustainable growth across the continent. Interested applicants are encouraged to visit the official Techparley website for more information on the eligibility criteria and application process.
