The LeadWay,

The Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church maintains one of the largest and most extensive Protestant educational systems in the world, operating nearly over 7,800 schools, colleges, and universities.

The church operates over 137 Adventist universities and colleges with over 147 campuses in 43 different countries. This vast network is guided by a Christ-centered philosophy of holistic education, aiming for the balanced development of the whole person—spiritually, intellectually, physically, and socially.

The institutions often integrate faith and learning, with notable strengths in theology, medicine, and nursing programs.

Nigeria hosts several significant tertiary institutions under the Adventist umbrella, serving as major centers for the Church’s educational mission in West Africa.

With a long history of academic achievements from the early 1870s, their educational achievements are based on its philosophy of restoring God’s image in their students.

What is the Adventist Higher Education Network?

In the vision of Adventist pioneers in higher education, Frederick Griggs and Warren E. Howell, it is a network of Adventist Colleges and Universities that function, plan, work together, and support one another as cohesive units for the good of the church and society.

We encourage you to explore, search and discover Adventist Universities and Colleges around the world. See the list of Adventist Universities and the opportunities Adventist higher education provides.
