Soludo’s victory marked a historic feat as he won in all 21 local government areas of the state, demonstrating the continued dominance of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Anambra State politics.

“I hereby declare that Soludo Charles Chukwuma of the APGA, having satisfied the requirements of the law, is hereby declared the winner and is returned elected.”

Following the declaration, supporters of APGA across the state erupted in celebration. Soludo is expected to deliver an official acceptance speech to the people of Anambra state and the nation.

Professor Soludo’s re-election campaign centered on consolidating his “Soludo Solution” agenda, focusing on infrastructure, security, and prudent fiscal management.1

Security: The election was held under heavy security, aimed at preventing the violence that had marred previous electoral cycles, a challenge that Soludo’s administration has heavily focused on.

APGA Dominance: The result affirms the powerful hold of APGA, a party associated with the late Igbo leader, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, over the state’s political landscape.2

This decisive victory grants Governor Soludo a final four-year term, extending his mandate until 2030, and further solidifies his status as a key political figure in the Southeast region of Nigeria.
