NIGERA- Social activist and comedian Debo Adebayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni, publicly criticized President Bola Tinubu over the escalating security crisis in Nigeria, specifically stating that the “blood of Nigerians being shed as an act of terrorism is on your head!!!”

His harsh rebuke was made in a post on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, following another major abduction incident in Nigeria.

Mr Macaroni directly challenged President Tinubu, referencing the President’s past statements while he was an opposition leader. The activist recalled Tinubu’s assertion that any president who could not protect the people was “incompetent.”

He argued that the recurring kidnappings of schoolchildren, particularly following the latest school attack in Niger State (St. Mary’s School in Papiri), contradict the President’s earlier assurances that he had all the answers to end terrorism.

The statement serves as a forceful condemnation, placing personal responsibility for the continued loss of life and abductions squarely on the incumbent administration.

Mr Macaroni is one of several prominent Nigerian public figures, including rapper Falz and producer Don Jazzy, who have used their platforms to intensify calls for immediate and decisive government action to curb the widespread terrorism, banditry, and kidnapping across the country.
