The Committee of Youth on Mobilisation and Sensitisation (CYMS) has publicly expressed its full support and confidence in the Minister of Women Affairs, Hajia Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, and the Permanent Secretary, Dr Maryam Kensinro. This vote of confidence follows a period of perceived stability and progressive policy implementation within the ministry.

The CYMS Director-General, Obinna Nwaka, issued a statement commending the leadership of the ministry for what he described as a transformative agenda aimed at empowering women and girls across Nigeria. The group noted that under their leadership, the ministry has focused on key areas such as gender-based violence, economic empowerment, and political inclusion for women.
The vote of confidence is seen as a significant endorsement from a youth-oriented organization, highlighting the ministry’s success in connecting with a crucial demographic.
