LAGOS, NIGERIA- Ace music producer and Mavin Records boss, Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy, has joined the growing number of prominent Nigerians demanding greater accountability from the government over the nation’s escalating security crisis.
In a recent statement made on X (formerly Twitter), Don Jazzy specifically urged President Bola Tinubu to demand tangible results from the nation’s security chiefs.
His comments were made shortly after President Tinubu postponed scheduled diplomatic trips to South Africa and Angola following fresh, severe attacks, including:

He emphasized that “The perpetrators deserve no mercy. There is an urgent need for our armed forces to eliminate every single one of these terrorists.”
He stressed that terrorism should not be allowed to become a “part of our normal lives.” He raised a critical question about intelligence failure, asking: “Where are they appearing from and disappearing to? Where is the intelligence?”
His core message was directed at the President: “Mr President, please demand more accountability from your security chiefs. This needs to end now, Sir.”
Don Jazzy’s statement reflects the increasing impatience and demand for concrete action among the populace, who are frustrated with the continuous cycle of attacks despite repeated government assurances.
His demand for accountability echoes the sentiments of other public figures, like rapper Falz, who have also called out the government’s handling of insecurity.
