The Nigerian-German Investment and Cultural Expo (NGICE) is a significant event aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between Nigeria and Germany by attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) and promoting Nigerian culture. Nigerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, has stated that the forthcoming Nigerian-German Investment and Cultural Expo (NGICE 2025) in Berlin will support and promote President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The minister said this when a high level delegation of NGICE 2025 led by former IGP, Mike Okiro, who is the chairman of the Organising Committee of the Expo, paid him a courtesy visit in Abuja.

The Leadway Magazine reports that the expo is scheduled to take place in Berlin in October.
The minister says this years edition will represent more than a cultural showcase, it will reflect the depth of Nigeria’s bilateral relations with Germany.
According to him, this complements the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President by opening doors for investment, trade, and cultural diplomacy.

The NGICE is organized by the Salute Nigeria Initiative and is designed as a platform to showcase Nigeria as an “investors’ paradise.” The expo’s key goals include:
Attracting FDI: Highlighting Nigeria’s investment opportunities in sectors like oil and gas, solid minerals, agriculture, technology, and the creative industries to German and other European investors.
Promoting Cultural Diplomacy: Exposing Nigerian culture, including music, movies, art, and fashion, to a global audience. The organizers see this as a way to leverage Nigeria’s “soft power.”
Strengthening Bilateral Ties: Building on the existing relationship between Nigeria and Germany, which has been fostered through prior collaborations and diplomatic efforts.

Yusuf Tuggar’s statement emphasizes that the NGICE directly supports the core pillars of President Tinubu’s agenda, which is focused on economic revitalization and global engagement. The expo’s objectives align with the administration’s strategic priorities, particularly:
