ABUJA NIGERIA- President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has received the Governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, at the State House in Abuja.
Governor Soludo, a member of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), meeting with President Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), underscores the necessity of bipartisan engagement for effective governance in Nigeria.
These high-level visits are routine occurrences designed to foster alignment between state and federal policies.

A statement from the Press Secretary to the governor, Christian Aburime stated that President Tinubu congratulated Soludo on his re-election victory during the recent governorship election held in Anambra state on November 18, 2025.
Governor Soludo and Mr President later entered into a closed door session. The meeting took place at the Presidential Villa, the seat of the Nigerian federal government.
While specific details of the discussion were not made public, meetings of this nature between the President and state governors typically centre on crucial issues regarding federal-state cooperation.
The Anambra state Governor also confirmed the development in a post on his verified social media handle.
He said : “Yesterday, I paid a courtesy visit to my dear friend and brother of over 22 years, His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, at the State House, Abuja.
“Mr. President received me with his usual warmth, big smile, and open arms. He again personally congratulated me on the resounding mandate given to me by the good people of Anambra State in the just-concluded governorship election – a victory he described as a testament to the trust and confidence Ndi Anambra have in our shared vision for a livable and prosperous homeland.
“I remain deeply grateful to Mr. President for his immediate congratulatory message on that historic day, and for his continued goodwill and support for Anambra State. We are one Nigeria, and together – with God on our side – we will build the Anambra and the Nigeria of our dreams. May Anambra continue to win!” Soludo stated.
